I’ve had a few shoots this year that make me realize how much I am progressing in my work, this is certainly one of them! Jodie reached out last winter for a family shoot and between both of our schedules, we couldn’t make it happen. That made me wonder, was I doing enough to make sure Jodie had family photos? Could I have moved things in my schedule to make it happen for her? Yes, I could have and I didn’t. Why? I’m honestly not sure. But I told myself going into this year that I would do anything, I would make more sacrifices for my clients and my business. So Jodie asked if I was available for this past Saturday and I truly wasn’t, but I made it happen for her! Obviously, it paid off big time!! The smile on Jodie’s face when we both met at the ‘unplanned’ location at Loch Raven Reservoir, said it all. She was just as excited as I was about the snow, and the cold wasn’t going to stop us from making magic happen! These family portraits of Jodie, Nathan, and the girls are some of my favorite from the season. I tried to embrace the beauty of the snow and it add another special wintery element to portraits that were already going to be on Christmas cards! I feel so honored to bless them with this, if I had told her I wasn’t available on Saturday morning these would have never happened. I’m learning to make small sacrifices to serve my clients this year and it has been one of the most valuable lessons! These portraits will always be a reminder of that, I am so blessed to have clients like the Todd’s!
Enjoy a few of my favorites from their family photos at Loch Raven Reservoir in Baltimore!
