There was so much anticipation for this wedding day that when it finally arrived, I was so overjoyed to be there! Michelle & Gardner reached out to me last summer from their planner, who I had just worked with the month before. To be honest, I didn’t know what to expect – with me being new to the industry, this is the first time that had happened! I was excited and told them I wanted to meet up with them to hear about their vision for their wedding day. We met for coffee with Michelle’s mom and hit it off from the start! You hope that you’ll click with everyone you work with, but that isn’t always the case. With Michelle and Gardner, they explained to me how important their wedding day portraits were and that was a big reason they chose Swan Harbor Farm for their wedding. Hearing this made me smile and the rest was history! Michelle & Gardner are that couple that people envy – you can tell they have so much fun together just by the way they look at one another. One of the things I was most excited about on their wedding day was their first look! I knew how excited Gardner would be and their first look did not disappoint! I love it when couples take that special moment for themselves on their wedding day. It is one of the only times you get by yourselves to just take it all in. The week of the wedding there was plans for rain and I knew how worried Michelle was. When I got there I could tell she was disappointed (as any bride would be), but she had one of the most magical wedding days despite the rain. Nothing could keep them from smiling through bridal portraits that we weren’t sure would even be possible and dancing the night away! They ended their evening with a bubble exit – wait until you see it!
I have to say that one of my favorite things about their wedding day was their families. There was so much joy for these two! You could tell their families were ecstatic for them and they embraced each other in a way we all hope to be embraced. It was as if they were all overjoyed to be coming together – hugging and smiling one another isn’t something that I see at every wedding. I think we should make that a must have! Both of their Dad’s shared toasts at the reception that reminded me the toast my dad made to me on my wedding day. I remembered feeling so loved and I know thats how Michelle & Gardner felt. Another highlight from the day would be Michelle’s mom praying over her and all the girls right before the ceremony. It’s moments like those that make me feel so honored to be apart of. There are a lot of other highlights for the day, just wait until you see the Disney inspired touches in from their wedding reception!
