Looking back at these engagement portraits, I am filled with gratitude! I am grateful that this business that I have babied over the years, has turned into something that has made my dreams come true. When I pulled up to Belmont Manor, the air was warm, the wind was breezy, the light was golden and it all felt too good to be true. Then something even greater happened – I met Dana & Ryan. They are the sweetest couple ever! They met in high school and after years of awkward friendship, started dating and now are running through golden fields waiting for their wedding day. I knew Dana was going to be a dream when I got her initial email. She raved about their wedding, how they met, and how much she loved the glow in my images! Then she said she wanted a historic venue for their engagement photos and I knew it was truly meant to be. After chatting over the options, Belmont Manor in Elkridge, Maryland seemed to be the right fit and I was elated! Belmont Manor is my neighborhood venue and is a place that I have dreamt of working at for years! Between the gorgeous driveway, the gardens, and the fields – I knew May would be the perfect time! The peonies were in full bloom, the bouquet from Eight Tree Street was incredible and Dana found the most perfect dress! During the shoot, I kept telling them to hop into light spots (which made Dana super excited – my girl!) and even convinced them to run through a field together- a dream come true! Like most guys, Ryan was worried that he would make this awkward but seeing him smile at Dana felt so right. The way she laughed at him made me wish it was their wedding photos, they will be pros by then! They’re getting married next July at Running Hare Vineyard and I can’t wait to capture the magic of them starting a new chapter!
